The weather is one of the factors affecting the study abroad where temperatures vary from one country to another. This leads to the discomfort for some students as the weather is not commensurate with the weather that they are accustomed to in their country because of the difference in temperatures. Many students do not take the weather into account when choosing in which country to study so the weather can impact on their academic level. Sometimes the weather leads to the postponement of the study when teaching stops because transport is at a standstill.

The phrase study abroad means a person wants to travel outside their country to receive knowledge. By studying abroad, students have the opportunity to learn in a foreign country and take in the allure and culture of a new land. Nowadays, studying abroad has become an important issue for some countries because a good education will lead us to the bright future. So many governments allocate funds annually to send students to study abroad as do some parents. The percentage of students studying abroad has been increasing from year to year due to many possible reasons such as scholarships, financial ability, family immigrations, exchange programmes, research programmes, job requirements, internships, and so on. Studying abroad has a lot of good benefits and at the same time there are many drawbacks that students should be aware of.

Advantages of studying abroad:

1. Different types of education

There are many different areas of education, so studying abroad can help student to get the appropriate course and scientific specialisation that may not be available in their country .

2. New culture and civilization

Traveling to study abroad helps student to learn about the culture and civilization of the country where they travel to study where the cultures of the people in that country may be quite different from their town, and this new culture may help to change many of the ideas and beliefs of the student.

3. Discover the world

Studying abroad helps students to discover new attractions such as museums, parks, mountains, parks and other beautiful sights.

4. Learn a new language

Studying abroad helps students to learn a new language different from their mother tongue by studying at the university or college to which they belong, as well as through their daily dealings with people from around.

5. Getting a job

Studying abroad helps the student after the completion of their study to increase the chances of obtaining the job quickly and in many different areas.

6. Self Development

Studying abroad helps students develop themselves in various fields and helps to increase their self-confidence, allowing the student to quickly learn and develop.

Disadvantage effect of studying abroad:

What are the disadvantages or cons of studying abroad? Despite the many advantages of studying abroad there are some disadvantages, and damages, most notably the following: -

1. Incompatible

Students may acquire cultures, and customs that are totally incompatible with the customs and cultures of their country.

2. Cultural shock

Cultural shock a result of differences in customs and traditions between the host country and the mother country.

3. High prices of study and living

Some students who study abroad may face higher prices for study, housing and food in the country where they travel to study.

4. Loneliness and homesickness

Some students feel lonely and homesick because of the length of their studies and because of their absence from their parents, which may affect their academic achievement and level of education.

5. Difficulty communicating with others

Some students who studying abroad may face problems in communicating to others due to language differences.

6. Difficulty obtaining a visa

Some students in some countries have difficulty obtaining a student visa.

7. The Weather

Sometimes weather is a factor affecting the functioning of education in some countries so students should consider the weather factor.

The UK is one of the most popular study destination worldwide and many students from all over the world travel there from places such as; EU countries, China, India, Korea, United States of America, Malaysia, Germany, Nigeria to study in different disciplines.

Many people want to study in the UK, perhaps because universities and colleges have different disciplines and high quality education as well as dealing with different cultures and the UK education system is recognised by employers, universities and governments worldwide.

There are many accredited colleges and universities in the UK where students can study if they compliant with the conditions of UK higher education. The UK is an interesting place to live and contains different cultures and civilizations where a lotof people of different nationalities live. It includes also famous tourist attractions, historical and scientific sites and you can find different foods to suit different tastes. It has different transport links such as trains, cars, buses, bicycles and others.

There are many countries that receive students from abroad to study, the student has only to choose the appropriate country to study in and respect the laws and regulations of that country.
